The Illusion of a Tropical Paradise

The Dead Sea is in the midst of a desert. The salinity means it too is a desert, a wet desert, where no life can exist. These umbrellas provide a tropical feel but make no doubt. It is a dry, hot desert made palatable for those with money to spend. 10 years ago, these umbrellas were practically on the seashore. Since that time, the sea has dropped close to 33 feet.
