Cinco de Mayo Plaza

This is the plaza where a Mexican army, mostly of peasants without guns, defeated the French empire on 05 May 1862. It was one of the great revolutionary battles of the ages. Any place where the commoner has thrown off the shackles of oppression is a sacred place in my book.
