One of the main reasons for going to Northeast Canada, was to visit a now retired former colleague of my wife. This is the view from the lower deck at his cottage. It overlooks the Atlantic Ocean. The three mornings we woke up there were clear and we were greeted with the rising sun. One of those mornings, the first, provided some wonderful sunrise pictures. The one drawback was the proliferation of mosquitoes whenever the sun went down. If not for them, I could have spent our entire vacation sitting on the porch watching the waves, the sun, the dragonflies, and the many birds swooping through the skies or diving feet first into the water in the eternal quest for food.
