Balance

Balance

I was very surprised to find pinecones on the beach in Norfolk, Virginia. I associate them with Northern forests, the oak and pine universes I explored on our regular family expeditions to Wisconsin. I call this balance because of the rocks balanced atop each other and the balance of plant, mineral, water, and sky. However, its an image that gives me stress. I piled the rocks on top of each other but it wasn’t solid. It was precarious. I feel the tension in the four rocks.
