Liberation (Humanity is Released from Misery)

I was only able to shoot a section of this mural titled Liberation by Jorge Conzález Camarena. The remaining part was obscured by columns so, despite my ultra wide angle lens, this was the best I could do.  The muralist expresses is spiritual liberation, not through violence, but by getting rid of ignorance and through the breakdown of ideological ties. This and the other works are filled with symbolism. Some I understand because it’s universal. Others I was completely clueless because it was designed for a people with a wildly different life experience and language experience than my own. Try as I might, I could not find an explanation of this on the web.
