I was on my way to visit my daughter and her family in the city when I decided to take a seat and people watch for a while. The baby was still sleeping so our dinner plans were going to be delayed so I had time to spare. I was on the grounds of the Fourth Presbyterian Church near Water Tower Place. It’s a very old church and an area people walk through while shopping or taking in the sights of the city. As is my norm, I had a camera for a little street photography. I only had one lens, an 85mm prime which, unlike a zoom lens that adjusts to the situation, forces one to adjust perspective when shooting. Among the many people I photographed was this couple wearing purple. The title comes from a book my brother bought my mom years ago.
