Lake Chess

Chess Match

I don’t play chess but do frequent the Chess Pavilion located on the Lake Front trail in Chicago primarily to indulge in the shade during my rides. And to watch the amazing diversity of people in Chicago enjoying themselves in and around this lake that seems to be as big as an ocean. I can’t think of a better place to play chess than with Lake Michigan in the background. It’s not a place prone to solitude but it is a place of beauty where I could gaze upon the waters as my opponent systematically collects my pieces.
