With the warmer weather in Chicago comes the flowers. The powers that be ensure flowers add flair to many places not just the expected runs of grass along the lake front. The beauty helps distract us from the ugliness of violence plaguing the city but only for a moment.
These flowers were growing at the Daly Plaza which is almost the heart of the city. The heart being the place where North changes to South and East changes to West as far as addresses are concerned.
I have come to like photos of flowers taken from beneath with the sky above. The light filtering through the translucent petals makes the colors pop. It also gives the perspective of the flower forever reaching for the heavens.
