Monochrome Monday: Rock, Cloud, Sky

Hole In The Wall

Hole In The Wall

We were considering walking up to the big hole in the rock but opted out when we saw the number of people on the same trail. I love the wilderness, especially the red rock wonderland of Southern Utah but prefer to experience the grandeur in relative solitude. I find it difficult to drink in the sounds of silence when others crush the silence with their loud voices. It might seem impossible for the massive silence to be tainted by one person’s voice. To put it in perspective, it is extremely small viruses that bring the human body to submission. I love to hear the still small voice of the wilderness speak to me but can’t do that when human created sound invades the silence.
