Monochrome Monday: Protest #5 – The Woman

Solemn Woman

Solemn Woman

This woman walked solemnly during the march. I didn’t notice if she was shouting any of the slogans. She seemed to be composed. Deep in thought. I found myself wondering about her experiences as a woman of color in Chicago. How many times had she experienced discrimination? How many in her community died violently? Will she live to see the equality of people guaranteed by the Constitution?
