Basic transportation accommodating passengers comes in two basic versions. The motorized motorpot and the human powered tricycle. They are of similar design where one uses a motorcycle, the other uses a bicycle. Some are for hire while others are private. As a personal vehicle, it is much cheaper than purchasing a car.
The passenger side is not very wide by my body width standards which is typically wider than for the locals. My slender wife and I fit rather snugly in the cab. Sitting with anyone else would push the limits of my American desire for personal space. We used the inexpensive motorpot transport almost exclusively in Abuyog. The ones we took did not have a windshield for the passengers allowing us to enable the cooling breeze in the humid and hot environment.
