The second temple we visited was Ankor Thom the temple of the massive Buddha heads. There were originally 54 towers with four heads each; 37 towers remain. The heads range in size from 3 to 4.5 meters.
We reached this temple in the very early afternoon. Already I was feeling the effects of the high heat and humidity so had a difficult time enjoying myself. I was constantly stopping to wipe of the sweat and just sit in a shady spot for a few moments relief. As a result, I didn’t capture as many photos as is my norm for such a spectacular creation. We probably should have visited it again like we did for Angkor Wat and Ta Prohm but there are only so many hours available in the day.
