Monochrome Monday: The Venerable Sage

The Venerable Sage

The Venerable Sage

This statue is a the Chinese Temple not far from Pataya in Thailand. I think it is supposed to represent the great sage Confucius but it could be any of the great teachers from ancient times. There was a sign. Unfortunately, it was written in both Thai and Chinese neither which I could read. I took solace in the serenity of it’s face and the artisanship of the creators.
