I arrived back to Chicago from India just in time to catch the onset of the Fall colors. Though a portent to the dead of Winter with short days and bitter cold, the colors of Fall is a time of year I missed while in India.
This magical transition from greens to colors does not happen in the part of India I lived, or in most of India for that matter. The climate is mild. Plants are leafed all the year long turing a bit browner in the dry season then springing lush green again dripping raindrops with the coming of the monsoons.
