Prayer Wheel @ Karma Monastery

This prayer wheel reminded me of the one I saw at the Kopan monastery in Nepal which shouldn’t surprise me because the Kopan Monastery was run by Tibetans. They are a people that need a place to worship since the Chinese chased them from their homeland after Communism infiltrated the peaceful country and forced the Dalai Lama into exile.

The wheel is at least twice my height and takes quite a bit of effort to get spinning. Each revolution begets a prayer. I hope something this massive begets big prayers.

I had a travelling partner on this trip so I was able to get a few shots of myself for a change….Thanks, Enrique!
