Temple Singer

I was fortunate to visit the Monkey Temple while one of their ceremonies was in progress. The monk pictured here was singing what I assume were Buddhist mantras because of the repeated repetition of words. Next to him, the blue object is a drum. The drum was beat in heart beat rhythm. I am not sure if it was my heart that synchronized with the beat of the drum or if the drum was simply beat at the same rhythm as my heart pumped blood into my arteries. Either way, I not only heard the ceremony but also felt the ceremony in my heartbeat and reverberate throughout my veins.
