Near Jaipur, we marveled at the Engineering marvel known as Chand Baori Stepwell. The complex structure, aside from the green water deep in the well, was a study in virtually no color. All was of stone universally in shades of white to grey. It was more of an Engineers paradise than an Artists paradise. That was until four women from a wedding party decided to break away from the wedding caravan crawling along the street and grace the ancient wonder. The added a mesmerizing dash of color that drew, no, demanded one’s attention. It felt almost impossible to look away. I followed them with eyes and camera. Then they were gone, like a fleeting bird dancing in a trees canopies disappears when eyes blink.
